Ayala Alabang Village Association (AAVA) held on April 12, 2015 at 2:00 in the afternoon the annual General Membership Meeting (GMM) at the Ballroom B of the Alabang Country Club in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City.
Among the agenda of the meeting were the approval of the minutes of last year's GMM, ratification of all resolutions of the Board of Governors, and the election of District Governors for District 4, 5, and 6.
One of the highlights of the event is the President's Report wherein the current president of AAVA, Mr. Epifanio "Eppie" Joaquin (also district governor of District 6), reported on the accomplishments of the current Board, which could be categorized into: (1) enhanced village security & perimeter walls, (2) AAVA having passed the international standard for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification (3) disaster preparedness including insurance coverage for the whole village's critical infrastructure (4) traffic schemes, (5) community relations and activities, and (6) continuation of programs of the previous Board, among others. Moreover, Ms. Lhouella "Ella" Semaña, head of the Comptrollership and Resources Management (CRM) department, presented the Financial Report of the Association in behalf of Treasurer Antonio Laurel who was abroad.
Some of the members present during the AGM expressed their concerns on some of the resolutions and particular village matters to the president. Mr. Joaquin responded to the concerns by clarifying matters, answering questions, and giving assurances. He also noted the matters for referral to the next board.
The meeting was adjourned at around 4:00 PM.
